The objective of this project is to develop an application primarily focused on session or locker booking for the Library and Knowledge Center (LKC) at BINUS University. Additionally, features are incorporated to facilitate efficient book searches by implementing a search functionality and displaying events happening at the LKC.
Bina Nusantara University provides comprehensive facilities to assist students in achieving academic excellence, one of which is the library known as the Library and Knowledge Center (LKC). Naturally, students make effective use of this facility, with approximately 500 students and staff from BINUS visiting the LKC in a given day. However, when observed on-site, the number of lockers available is only 280, and several of these lockers are malfunctioning. In reality, these lockers are crucial for all librarians as they represent one of the regulations set by LKC BINUS for depositing bags.
Data indicates that during productive hours, such as from 09:00 to 10:00 and 12:00 to 15:00 (especially during breaks between credit hours)
Queues for locker keys are often encountered.
No lockers are available at the moment will make inconvenient when Binusian who do not secure a locker must resort to leaving their bags at the reception desk.
There are also problems when searching the book availability in LKC and event’s that held by BINUS. Binusian felt too hard to get this kind of information.
Events happening at LKC or campus area are often posted haphazardly in Discord or WhatsApp, making it difficult to keep track of all the information and ensuring that everyone stays informed.
Libeery is here to solve all the problems faced for a better experience when visiting the Library and Knowledge Center for Binusian.
